The City of Falling Angels

My book club's selection for this month is The City of Falling Angels by John Berendt and it is the nonfiction story of an arson at the Fenice Opera House in Venice by the author who wrote Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. I was lucky enough to visit Venice when I was 16, but only for a couple of days. My visit was before the opera house fire in 1996 and yet the opera house was not a stop on our tour, so I didn't get to see it. But I did take pictures of the places I did see and I thought I would post them here in case my fellow book club members and anyone else would be interested.

Unfortunately, when I was 16, I thought it was really cool to use labels to paste captions directly onto my photos, so a lot of these have my handwritten captions affixed to the picture.
